Q: What is Great Design?
A: Many books have been written to answer this question. Great graphic design can be briefly described as the organization of both text and graphic information in a way that conveys a specifically targeted message to influence a desired response. Many designers who do not understand what design should do will sacrifice a clear message to present something that simply "looks cool." This is a sign that the designer is working for their own ego, rather than working to communicate your message. Just looking good does not mean that it is good for your business.

Q: Why should I hire a freelance designer?
A: First, a freelance designer is one who works for many clients without being an employee. A freelance designer can offer many benefits that saves you valuable time and marketing dollars.
1.
Save money. Like many freelance professionals, I work from home. This saves the overhead costs of office rent, utilities, support staff, etc. that agencies and firms would otherwise be pass down to you.
2. Less confusion. All communication is with the designer himself. If you have an issue or question, you talk directly to the designer. No more potential communication breakdown between client, sales rep or account manager, and the designer. A great freelancer will in fact be a very educational resource and should be informative.
3. Design solutions for any budget. Freelance designers value a wide range of projects and clients. Most large design firms are more intrerested in the larger clients with more expensive projects. Great freelance designers will adjust to fit the needs of the individual client and will even suggest ways to cut costs.
4.
More flexibility. Freelance designers can manage thier time to fit the needs of their clients. If necessary, a freelancer will work outside of normal office hours to complete a project.
5. Recieve outstanding service. A freelancer's reputation and income are on the line with every project they produce. It is clients like you who put food on my table and a roof over my childrens' heads. If a freelancer wants to continue to generate an income, they must keep their clients satisfied and coming back with the next project.

Q: Will BechtCreative save your business from failure?
A: No, not necessarily. I can create marketing materials that can help drive in business, but great graphic design can only help if it is backing a quality product or service. If you provide poor service or a low quality product, advertising it will only sink your business quicker. Design cannot be blamed for a company's poor performance.
